'You missed bitches': DeSantis' gift to Trump has that message

President Donald Trump stumped for Florida candidates at a packed rally last week at Alico Arena in Fort Myers.
He encouraged voters to cast their ballots for Republican U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds as Florida’s next governor and for GOP U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody, who is running to keep her seat.
He also told the crowd they’ll receive $5,000 if Republicans win control of both the U.S. House and Senate.
Gov. Ron DeSantis met the president on the runway at Southwest Florida International Airport before the rally and gave him a commemorative coin, according to CBS News.
The image on the coin shows the president with his middle finger up and bears a slogan: “You missed bitches.”
It’s not clear if the slogan is meant to reflect Trump’s defiance in the wake of the assassination attempts against him, or is a more generic “you come for the king”-style message.
DeSantis said he asked a friend for the coin.
“I told them, I said, ‘I need to get this to the president. Can I please have one to give to him?’” DeSantis said in a video. “And so, I was able to do it.”
In 2024, the president was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally. He was surrounded by Secret Service and hurried to his SUV, pumping his fist in a show of defiance.
Later that same year, Trump was the target of another apparent assassination attempt at his golf club in West Palm Beach.
A different gunman then tried to storm the White House Press Correspondents’ Association dinner, with the president in attendance, this April.
