President Trump to campaign with Darline Graham in Myrtle Beach. What we know

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — President Donald Trump is coming to Myrtle Beach to stump for Republican U.S. Sen. Darline Graham in her runoff primary election against Congressman Ralph Norman.
Details about when and where the event will be held haven’t been announced, but the South Carolina Republican Party announced Monday that Trump would make a rally appearance in Myrtle Beach. As a result, a U.S. Senate stump stop scheduled for Aug. 21 in Anderson County was postponed.
When her brother, longtime Sen. Lindsey Graham, died last month, Darline Graham was appointed to the U.S. Senate. Lindsey Graham recently won his primary race, so a special election was held on Aug. 11 to nominate a primary replacement.
Even before Darline Graham announced plans to campaign for a full term, Trump endorsed the first-time senator.
In her initial primary election, Graham took first place, but failed to cross the 50% threshold to automatically advance to the general election. With nearly 33% of primary votes, Graham will advance to the runoff election against Norman on Aug. 25.
Ahead of next week’s election, Trump will support Graham at a Myrtle Beach rally. It won’t be the first time the president campaigns in the Grand Strand. In his 2024 presidential election campaign, Trump spoke to thousands of supporters at Coastal Carolina University.
