Kim Kardashian reveals she failed her bar exam

Kim Kardashian won’t be hitting the courtroom quite yet as the “All’s Fair” star revealed on Saturday that she failed the bar exam on her first attempt.

“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” she wrote on Instagram, referencing her role in Ryan Murphy’s new legal series on Hulu.

Despite her failure, Kardashian declared it won’t stop her from pursuing her dream of becoming an attorney.

“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar,” the 45-year-old said. “No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”

Kardashian also thanked her fans for their continued support, adding: “Falling short isn’t failure — it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s go!!!!!!!!!!!”

The reality star and fashion mogul — whose late father, Robert Kardashian, was a well-known attorney who famously represented O.J. Simpson during his 1995 murder trial— initially revealed that she was studying law in a 2019 interview with Vogue.

Since then, she’s been open about the difficult process, revealing she failed the “baby bar” three times before finally passing the exam in 2021. The test is required for students of California’s Law Office Study Program, an apprenticeship that allows students to pursue a legal career without attending law school.

Back in May, Kardashian announced that she had officially completed the program after six long years, sharing an Instagram video from her intimate graduation ceremony.

“It wasn’t easy, and it took longer than planned, but I never gave up,” she wrote. “The journey was real, and so is the accomplishment.”

According to the American Bar Association, roughly 20% of test-takers fail the bar exam on their first attempt, including those who pursue a law license through an alternative pathway like Kardashian.
