The Freezer Inventory Trick: Stop Buying Food Twice
Published in Life Hacks
Have you ever dug into the icy depths of your freezer only to unearth a mysterious, frost-bitten package from six months ago and thought, 'What on earth is this?'
If your freezer is anything like most, it operates as a black hole where good groceries go to hide, get forgotten, and eventually turn into unidentifiable ice sculptures.
We end up buying duplicates of frozen vegetables, chicken breasts, and pre-made meals simply because we can't see what's buried beneath the surface.
The fix takes less than ten minutes: the magnetic freezer whiteboard.
Slap a small magnetic dry-erase board right on the front of your refrigerator or freezer door. Whenever you toss something new inside, scribble it down. When you use it up, wipe it off.
Suddenly, you always know your exact inventory at a glance, eliminating food waste and stopping you from accidentally buying groceries you already own.
