Everything we know about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding
Published in Entertainment News
NEW YORK — There are more people ostensibly invited to celebrate the love story of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce than there are tidbits of publicly available information about the nuptials of the world’s biggest star.
Still, Swifties are nothing if not savvy. The Grammy winner, 36, has trained them well through decades of placing Easter eggs in everything from lyric booklets to accessories she dons to and from the studio. But there are also sources who’ve drip-fed intel, perhaps decoy details, to outlets since the stars got engaged in August 2025.
Below, here’s all we’ve sussed out about the Swift-Kelce wedding to date, including the where, when and who will be there to witness the lovers say “I do” in style.
When and where will they marry?
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, are expected to celebrate their wedding Friday, July 3, at Madison Square Garden in front of over 1,000 guests — a reported backup after news broke that they planned to tie the knot June 13 at Ocean House, a five-star Westerly resort near the pop star’s Rhode Island “holiday house.”
TMZ first broke news of their Garden wedding earlier this month and, along with The New York Times, was told this week that multiple Kansas City Chiefs players are set to stay at Times Square’s Marriott Marquis around that holiday weekend.
A city official confirmed to the Daily News Wednesday that event company Winick Productions had filed a permit to close the streets surrounding the Garden for Thursday, July 2, up until midday on the Fourth of July, during which they aim to establish a tent or canopy outside, for up to 999 people. For unclear reasons, Winick is also looking at July 10.
Why MSG?
Other than Swift’s recent appearance at the Garden to support the Knicks in their historic Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Swift has occasionally played the venue — starting with a 2003 talent show at a Knicks game.
Though she has more often performed across the Hudson in New Jersey at East Rutherford’s MetLife, the Garden is infinitely more secure, thanks to a lack of windows and plenty of ways for the “Paper Rings” singer to engineer top-notch security.
Why is there still so much commotion up in Rhode Island?
Dedicated Swifties reportedly traveled to Watch Hill the weekend of June 13 — Swift, born on Dec. 13, has long used her lucky number as an excuse for announcements and releases — just in case they could spot the billionaire artist.
Photos and video from this past weekend at Swift’s beachside mansion, and the nearby vicinity, suggest something wedding-focused was taking place in recent days — be it a bachelorette party, given the group of girls in largely matching robes at Swift’s home, or a rehearsal dinner, as evidenced by the huge tent next to Ocean House.
But Swift and Kelce had reportedly not secured a marriage license in Rhode Island in the hours leading up to the Juneteenth holiday, during which the Westerly Town Clerk’s Office was closed.
Three-time Super Bowl champ Kelce spent the long weekend in and around Southern California with a crew of male friends, including his big brother Jason and Swift’s younger brother, Austin, in what is believed to be his bachelor party.
So many guests, so few names known
Swift and Kelce are reportedly hosting anywhere from 1,100 to 1,200 guests, and among those place cards, plenty of question marks.
Will Swift’s reportedly estranged bestie Blake Lively show up, fresh off her settlement with her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star Justin Baldoni?
Sources told Us Weekly at the start of April that Zoë Kravitz, 37, was set to attend.
But it’s unclear whether things have changed amid Kravitz’s whirlwind engagement to beau Harry Styles — who famously dated Swift in the 2010s and is believed to have inspired much of her “1989” album.
The insider who spoke to Us also name-checked guests like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, the Haim sisters, Emma Stone, as well as Jason Kelce, Travis’ teammate and pal Patrick Mahomes and actor Miles Teller.
Swift recently cheered on the Knicks with two of the three Haims, Este and Alana, as well as Mariska Hargitay — who had a cameo in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video and whose “Law & Order” character Olivia Benson inspired the name of one of Swift’s cats. So it’s safe to assume they’ve all secured invitations.
Lively and Styles aren’t the only iffy potential guests.
Swift was a bridesmaid at both Lena Dunham’s intimate 2021 London wedding as well as the 2023 Jersey shore wedding of actress Margaret Qualley and Dunham’s ex, producer Jack Antonoff — with whom Swift has collaborated on myriad albums. Presumably, both Dunham and Antonoff scored invites.
And … musical guests?
Swift and Kelce are reportedly having a wedding band at their special day — though it’s unknown whether that’s in addition to or instead of a D.J.
But TMZ recently reported they’re also commissioning a “massive stage” for the celebration, so that their talented pool of guests can perform as well.
While it’s unclear who would play the crowd, Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran and Stevie Nicks are among Swift’s noted musical friends.
She even dedicated her Game 4 get-up to the Fleetwood Mac alum, with a “Stevie Knicks” shirt.
Rule 1: No gifts
Swift and Kelce may be inviting everyone they’ve ever met to witness them wed, and shutting down a chunk of the city to do so, but a wedding registry is apparently nonexistent.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle told Extra this week that the couple “said absolutely no gifts.”
