"Motor City" is coming home.

The largely dialogue-free action thriller, set in late '70s Detroit, will be available for home rental starting on Aug. 25, its distributor announced on Tuesday.

"Motor City" stars "Reacher's" Alan Ritchson as a man who goes to jail after he's framed by a drug lord (Ben Foster) and has to break himself out of prison to save his fiancée (Shailene Woodley) from the drug lord's clutches.

It's a highly stylized, ultraviolent action movie directed by Potsy Ponciroli, who leaned into its heightened sense of reality.

"When I first pitched it, I was going for a noir comic book that was never a comic," Ponciroli recently told The Detroit News. "We wanted some really big imagery and music. It is, in a sense, a rock opera."

The movie features evocative music cues from David Bowie, Bill Withers, Donna Summer, the Moody Blues and more, and Jack White makes a cameo in the film. White also served as an executive producer on the project.

"Motor City" opened in theaters on July 24. It debuted at No. 9 at the box office and fell to No. 14 its second week, and has earned roughly $2.9 million worldwide.

It scored a 62% with critics and earned a 65% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

"I've never been so proud of a project in my entire life," star Ritchson recently told The Detroit News. "I believe in this one."
