Stanley Tucci arrives at Ascot in carriage as VIP guest of King Charles

One of the carriages arriving at Royal Ascot Day 3 held a surprise VIP guest of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Stanley Tucci and wife Felicity Blunt rolled up to the Ascot Racecourse in Ascot, Berkshire, on Thursday in the fourth and final carriage of the Royal Procession.
The clue was in the program, for those who had one. He and Blunt were listed as carriage occupants along with friends of the royal family Lord and Lady Cavendish, according to the day’s lineup posted on Ascot Racecourse’s Instagram page.
Before the races begin, attendees lunch at Windsor Castle without yet knowing whether they have been deemed carriage-worthy, a Sky News commentator said, adding that they may not even find out until after lunch.
The King and Queen rode in the first carriage, as always, attending the five-day racing extravaganza for the third day in a row. The monarchs have indicated they plan to attend all five days. The other carriages bore Princess Anne and Prince Edward; Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and the king’s niece Zara Tindall, among others.
It wasn’t the Italian-American actor’s first brush with royalty. Last year he was invited to dine with Charles and Camilla at their Highgrove House country residence along with Italy’s U.K. ambassador, His Excellency Inigo Lambertini, and other guests. A prelude to the king and queen’s April 2025 visit to Italy, the dinner was whipped up by an Italian chef from British ingredients made with an Italian twist and doubled as the royal couple’s 20th anniversary celebration.
In January of this year the “Devil Wears Prada 2” star attended the premiere of King Charles III’s documentary, “Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision,” and Tucci and Blunt were also seen at a March event with Queen Camilla, according to People.
Tucci’s wife is the sister of his fellow “Devil Wears Prada” franchise co-star Emily Blunt. They met at the premiere of the first film in 2006
