Bad Bunny, Lizzo and Mary J. Blige among 2023 Grammys performers

Bad Bunny, Lizzo and Mary J. Blige are ready to rock the Grammy Awards.
They’re among the artists who will perform at next month’s ceremony celebrating the best in music, the Recording Academy announced Wednesday.
Pop stars Sam Smith and Kim Petras, country singer Luke Combs, R&B artist Steve Lacy and folk rocker Brandi Carlile were also announced as performers.
All of those artists are nominated for at least one Grammy, with the reggaeton rapper Bad Bunny, the pop star Lizzo and the R&B veteran Blige each up for album of the year.
Puerto Rican-born Bad Bunny is nominated for three Grammys after his “Un Verano Sin Ti” topped the U.S. albums chart and fueled his third consecutive year as Spotify’s most-streamed artist.
Lizzo, who also released a Top 5 album last year with “Special,” is a finalist for five Grammys, including record and song of the year for “About Damn Time.”
Blige’s album of the year nomination came for “Good Morning Gorgeous,” while its title single is up for record of the year. She’s nominated for six awards overall.
Smith and Petras are up for best pop duo/group performance for their chart-topping “Unholy.”
Former “The Daily Show” star Trevor Noah is hosting the Grammys for a third consecutive year. The ceremony is set to take place Feb. 5 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Beyoncé leads all artists with nine nominations, bringing her career total to 88. That ties her with her husband, rapper Jay-Z, for the most ever. Her 28 career wins are the most by a woman and trail only the 31 won by conductor Georg Solti.
Like Lizzo, Beyoncé is nominated in each of the show’s top three categories of record, song and album of the year. Adele, Kendrick Lamar and Harry Styles are also nominated for all three honors.
