Britney Spears has revealed that she was left with a droopy eyelid following a botched Botox procedure.

The 44-year-old singer urged her fans to "be careful" with cosmetic treatments as she demonstrated the unwanted after effects of the injections in an Instagram video.

Britney claims that the injector "put so much Botox in this left eye that it drooped down like that", as she showcased its impact by pressing her eyelid down with her finger.

The Oops!... I Did It Again hitmaker explained that, four weeks on from the procedure, her eyelid is "just now starting to raise up and be normal again".

She said: "It's so embarrassing it was like that."

Britney then implored her social media followers to "be careful if you do Botox".

The ...Baby One More Time singer said: "These people and these doctors, they can really f*** your eyes up.

"Be careful with these people. They try to change your face and try to f*** things up. Be careful with your bodies, because it's yours and you own it. So, that's it."

Meanwhile, Britney recently blasted her parents Jamie and Lynne Spears for "secretly" taking her sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, to a beach without her during her conservatorship.

Posting on X, Britney - who has her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline - captioned a throwback photograph of the boys when they were younger: "Those two little bodies came out of my belly. Yes, they are mine … Unfortunately it wasn't until 5 years ago that I saw they were secretly taken to the beach by my mom and dad … The whole summer.

"I wondered why I wasn't a part of their cool secret outings. I felt demoralized to live in a country where it was accepted for people like my mom and dad to live secret lives with my children. I honestly went to my knees and cried for two months."

Britney also explained how she felt she had "failed as a mother" when one of her children told her that he believes in science rather than God.

She said: "I'm not a nun, but I do live in prayer and yoga every day of my f****** life … I've cried so much. I'm extremely weak, but through weakness they say you will find the most strength, cuz you surrender and give it to God. My son told me last week it was all science, he didn't personally believe in God … In that moment, I believed I had failed as a mother because I know there is a Holy Spirit that sits high in the kingdom of heaven."
