Fox 2's Deena Centofanti back on the air after family emergency

DETROIT — Morning news anchor Deena Centofanti is back in Fox 2 Detroit after about two months away to care for her husband, Keith Stironek.
"Good Day Detroit, I haven't said that in a long time, guys," Centofanti said this morning on air. "It feels good to be back, my home away from home."
Stironek is VP of Creative Services at the station.
"On June 3 here at FOX 2, where my husband also works, I walked down to his office after the show and discovered that he was having a stroke," Centofanti said. "That sort of chaotically unraveled into a whole situation of rushing to call 911 and getting over to Henry Ford Providence, and here we are eight weeks later."
She said Stironek's progress has been slow, but he is home now and working hard to regain strength on his left side.
Centofanti said she appreciated the support from friends, family, neighbors and viewers during the ordeal.
The Emmy Award-winning reporter has been with Fox 2 Detroit for more than two decades. Centofanti is known for her health reports and is a morning anchor on "Good Day Detroit."
