Tom Holland and Zendaya are planning an "epic" wedding party in a British castle.

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day co-stars married in an intimate, secret ceremony earlier this year and they're now planning on going all out to celebrate their nuptials at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire, with hundreds set to attend.

A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper's Talk of the Town column: "'It's going to be massive. They were perusing the grounds recently, pointing out where they wanted the grand piano and other tents. It's going to be epic."

However, the couple's planning hit a problem when someone at the castle - which is owned by David Manners, the Duke of Rutland, and his family - was bitten by a tick while out in the grounds.

The insider said: "Someone connected to the castle recently picked up a tick from the long grass in part of the grounds.

"It really set the cat among the pigeons. Tom and Zendaya have since been insistent that no guests should be allowed near that section of the grounds, lest any of the Hollywood A-listers also be subjected to a tick bite. Ticks can transmit Lyme disease."

Following months of speculation, Tom finally confirmed last month that he and Zendaya had got married after five years of dating.

The 30-year-old actor told how his grandmother thought that she hadn't been invited to the ceremony because she had seen the infamous fake AI wedding pictures that circulated online.

Asked by Esquire Magazine if he had to send out similar messages to other family members who feared they may have missed the wedding, Tom said: "No, because they were all there."

However, The Odyssey star refused to divulge any further details about the wedding.

He said: "That's all you'll get on that."

Tom and Zendaya, 29, met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming a decade ago and he feels that their relationship is so strong as both can identify with the "very stressful situations" that come with being in the spotlight.

He said: "Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time.

"We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.

"So, for me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I have ever been when I'm with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."

In an interview published just a few weeks before, Zendaya, 29, had refused to confirm the news, which was broken earlier this year by her stylist Law Roach.

Asked if she and Tom had wed, the Greatest Showman star told ELLE magazine: "No, I'm not going to do that. They're always searching for something."
