DETROIT — Bob Seger is rereleasing his 2006 album "Face the Promise" for its 20th anniversary, his record label announced Thursday.

The set is due out Sept. 18 in an expanded two-LP edition which features four bonus tracks, "Little Jane," "Time," "Red Eye to Memphis" and "Let Me Try." The album is also being released to streaming services for the first time.

The midtempo track "Little Jane" is now streaming, along with the album's two opening songs, "Wreck This Heart" and "Wait for Me."

Seger's team teased the rerelease on social media earlier this week.

"Face the Promise" was originally released on Sept. 12, 2006. It was Seger's first album since "It's a Mystery" in 1995 and marked his 16th studio album overall.

The set sold 151,000 copies its first week and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. It was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The 12-track album features collaborations with Kid Rock ("Real Mean Bottle") and Patty Loveless ("The Answer's in the Question"). Its release prompted Seger's first tour in more than a decade.

The new set — which was newly remastered by Seger's longtime mastering engineer Robert Vosgien, according to a press release — comes in a gatefold jacket and features a 12-page LP-sized booklet.

The set is currently available for preorder and is available for $29.98 from Seger's webstore.

The "Face the Promise" anniversary is one of several significant mile markers for the 81-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer. Also celebrating anniversaries this year are "Live Bullet," which turned 50 in April; "Night Moves," which turns 50 in October; "Nine Tonight," which turns 45 in September; "Like a Rock," which turned 40 in March; and "The Fire Inside," which turns 35 next month.
