Tom Holland thinks AI lacks "soul".

The 30-year-old actor believes AI cannot match human creativity and as a result, Tom thinks it has relatively limited value in the film industry.

The Spider-Man star - who has become one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors in recent years - said on the El Hormiguero talk-show: "Creativity is safe from AI because creativity has to do with the human experience. It's about emotions, it's about understanding one another."

Tom explained that he doesn't personally feel concerned by the ever-increasing influence of AI in society.

The actor - who is married to Zendaya, his Spider-Man: Brand New Day co-star - reflected: "AI can sift through data, but it can't understand people's emotions. It doesn't understand the difference between being happy and being sad.

"The way artists paint, it's not about what they're copying, it's about expressing themselves. So I feel protected."

Meanwhile, Demi Moore shared her own thoughts about AI at the recent Cannes Film Festival.

The 63-year-old actress thinks Hollywood needs to learn to work with and embrace AI technology - but she also believes that it still has some serious limitations, too.

Speaking at a press conference at the festival in Cannes, Demi - who was previously married to fellow film star Bruce Willis - explained: "AI is here, and so to fight it is to, in a sense, fight something that is a battle that we will lose. So to find ways in which we can work with it, I think, is a more valuable path.

"Are we doing enough to protect ourselves? I don't know. My inclination would be to say probably not."

Despite this, Demi stressed that there are limits to what AI can achieve in the film business.

The Substance star explained that AI cannot replace "true art", which she believes "comes from the soul".

Demi - who became the world's highest-paid actress in the 90s - reflected: "There are beautiful aspects of being able to utilise it, but the truth is, there really isn't anything to fear, because what it can never replace is what true art comes from, which is not the physical. It comes from the soul."
