Christine Taylor learned some comedy lessons from working with Ben Stiller.

The 55-year-old actress starred alongside Ben, her husband, in Zoolander, the 2001 comedy film, and Christine has recalled learning some important lessons from her co-star.

Remembering the experience, Christine told People: "Oh my gosh. We had just gotten married.

"It was truly a master class for me. I had done some films before, and I'd worked with Ben as a director in a TV pilot, but it was my first time working with Ben on a feature film that he was also starring in."

Christine also starred alongside Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson, Milla Jovovich, Jerry Stiller and Jon Voight in Zoolander.

And the actress still has vivid memories of shooting one scene in particular.

She said: "The moment that I really hold onto is the moment when we're having the tea, and Derek and Hansel are talking to Matilda and trying to get her to loosen up a little bit. She talks about growing up and seeing all the models on the covers.

"I just remember that scene. It's a classic scene of watching the way Ben and Owen worked. They would be themselves, normal Ben and Owen, and then they would immediately go into these characters that were so different from who they were."

Meanwhile, Ben previously claimed that humour has been key to his marriage.

The 60-year-old actor has been married to Christine since 2000, and in spite of their separation in 2017, Ben believes they've always bonded over a shared sense of humour.

The Hollywood star - who reconciled with his wife amid the COVID lockdown - told The Wall Street Journal newspaper: "I was like, 'Oh, I'm really happy being with this person and we have fun together.' It just felt like an instinctual sort of thing."

The loved-up duo met in 1999 and were married less than a year later.

Ben explained: "Our shared sense of humour is the key to our off-screen relationship.

"When you're with somebody for many years, and you go through the ups and downs of life, a sense of humour is just the most important thing, being able to laugh together and want to hang out together."
