KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For months, Taylor Swift fans wondered where she would be on Monday, Sept. 14. Two big events for her collided that night.

Swift was nominated for five Emmys — and the ceremony was scheduled the same night that new husband Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates opened a new NFL season at Arrowhead Stadium.

She couldn’t possibly be in two places at once, could she?

Come on now. She’s Taylor Swift. And she pulled it off ... sorta.

Swift showed up at Arrowhead on Monday night, sharing a suite with none other than Tom Cruise. But she also showed up at the Emmys in a skit mocking the scheduling predicament that left so many people guessing.

The skit looked like a scene from “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” which stars Swift’s longtime friend Mariska Hargitay. The actress hosted the Emmys Monday.

Taylor showed up in the squad room with all the main characters from the show.

“All right, team, listen up. The Emmys are tonight, and the mayor’s office is breathing down my neck, demanding an answer to the big question, will Taylor Swift be at the Emmys?” Hargitay, as Olivia Benson, told her team.

“Now, in order to crack a Swiftie case, you’ve got to think like a Swiftie, because the Swifties think that everything is a clue to what she’ll do next.”

They name-checked everything in the skit from Kansas City and Kelce to Swift’s albums before Swift herself appeared wearing a no-nonsense, gray, detective’s suit — at one point holding her own cat, which she named Olivia Benson.

Hargitay, who was one of the celebrities in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video in 2015, named her cat after Swift’s “Karma.”

The two friends wore matching “Stevie Knicks” T-shirts at Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden in June. A few weeks later, Hargitay was a guest at the Swift-Kelce wedding in the mammoth arena. (Cruise was at the wedding, too.)

And about Swift’s Emmy nominations? She was nominated for her Eras Tour show but didn’t win anything at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony earlier this month.
