Hilaria Baldwin "started dieting" at the age of five.
The 42-year-old star has opened up about her struggles with various eating disorders, revealing that she became "afraid of how many calories might be in toothpaste" at the peak of her problems.
Speaking to Page Six Radio, Hilaria explained: "I did all of it. I did anorexia, I did bulimia, I did overeating, I did undereating."
On reflection, Hilaria now believes looked "fine" at the height of her troubles - but she saw things differently in that moment.
She explained: "I look back and I looked fine. But I thought I was a whale [back then]. I just thought there was something broken inside of me."
Hilaria - who has Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, nine, Romeo, eight, Eduardo, five, María, five, and Ilaria, three, with husband Alec Baldwin - needed to do a lot of "work" in order to overcome her own body image issues.
The podcaster has also tried to share her positive learnings with her children.
She said: "What I try to do with my kids is empower them, talk about strength, talk about, 'How does the food make you feel?'"
Meanwhile, Alec previously revealed that he's keen to spend more time at home with his wife and kids in the coming years.
The actor has enjoyed huge success in Hollywood - but he's now happy to forego various career opportunities in order to spend time with his loved ones.
Alec, 68 - who took a break from acting following a shooting incident on the set of the movie Rust in 2021 - previously said on The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast: "I wound up staying home a lot. I was home with my kids for three and a half years.
"I hardly worked at all. And that's just changing now, I'm going to go off and do a bunch of things, but I was home and I got used to it, and I don't want to leave my house anymore. I don't. I don't want to work anymore. I don't. I really don't. I want to retire and stay home with my kids."
