NEW YORK — Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter, Suri, has officially dropped her father’s last name, according to reports.

Per Pennsylvania voting records obtained by TMZ, Suri legally changed her last name from Cruise to Noelle shortly after heading off to college.

The 20-year-old, who attends Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, used her new name to register to vote in Allegheny County during her freshman year, back in October 2024. The moniker also appeared in the program for her high school graduation from LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts some five months prior.

“I’m proud of my daughter,” Holmes’ told Town & Country, gushing over her Suri’s latest milestone and her moving onto college.

“Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy,” she continued. “I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that.”

Around the same time, Holmes publicly denied reports suggesting Suri had inherited a trust fund from her father.

The actress married Cruise in November 2006, after welcoming Suri months earlier in April 2006. Tom also shares adopted kids Bella and Connor with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

Holmes and Cruise eventually split in 2012, and according to TMZ, Suri has reportedly been estranged from her father since she was 7 years old.

Now in her sophomore year at Carnegie Mellon, Suri is studying musical theater and gearing up to participate in a student production called “Midsummer!,” a modern-day retelling of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
