NEW YORK — Jennifer Lopez still can’t shake the $50 million marital mansion she and ex-husband Ben Affleck bought in Beverly Hills after a would-be buyer fell through.

The prospective new homeowner had already submitted a “substantial” deposit before walking away from the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom home, which the starry exes previously bought for nearly $61 million, insiders told TMZ.

The home sits on 5.2 acres and, among its myriad amenities, includes its own indoor sports complex, 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, and 12-car garage. But it has proven somewhat of an albatross for the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer, 56.

The Bronx-born pop star and 53-year-old Oscar winner were famously set to marry in the early aughts, only to call it quits and reconcile in spring 2021. They wed twice in summer 2022 and, despite Lopez dedicating a new album — as well as a film about said album, and documentary about that film and album — to their renewed love, split in 2024.

Speculation they were heading for divorce intensified that June, amid reports that they’d been “having issues” and living apart, mere months after moving into the estate they’d spent nearly two years searching for.

Sources at the time told TMZ Ben and Jen were trying to sell the home for “around $65 million.”

Though they long remained mum on the status of their marriage — Lopez’s fourth and Affleck’s second — Lopez ultimately filed for divorce in August 2024, on the second anniversary of their second nuptials. The divorce was finalized the following January.

Affleck gifted his half of the mansion to Lopez earlier this year, weeks after which Lopez began listing the home for $50 million.
