Sigourney Weaver "slapped" Shia LaBeouf's dad after he "hit on her", the controversial actor has claimed.

Shia was at the 2026 Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday (11.07.26) when he was asked about his experience filming the movie Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and he began talking about how his father behaved on the film set.

He alleged his dad Jeffrey LaBeouf was also inappropriate on the set of Shia's 2003 film Holes, in which he co-starred with Sigourney Weaver, and the actress apparently reacted physically.

Shia said: "My dad's been kicked off of so many sets, dude. He hit on Sigourney Weaver one time.

"She slapped him on Holes, on the Holes set."

He went on to claim that his dad, who was "fresh out of prison" at the time, also acted inappropriately on the Charlie's Angels set.

He continued: "My dad was fresh out of prison, so we were on this set, and here's all these pretty girls walking around. Bad news.

"My dad was hitting on all three of those women all the time."

Lucy Liu, who played one of the titular Angels alongside Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, took a particular dislike to Shia's dad, he claimed.

He said: "Lucy Liu couldn't stand my dad. She couldn't stand him. But he wasn't going nowhere, he's my dad.

"So we were just hanging out all the time, and Lucy Liu would always do these big circles around my trailer."

Shia added: "[Liu] never wanted to be around 'cause my dad was always whistling at her."

Jeffrey has had his fair share of legal issues, and was convicted of attempted rape in 1981 - serving a prison sentence until 1983, according to The Sun.

He's quoted as telling a journalist that he has a conviction for "attempted rape", and was "registered as a sex offender under Megan's Law".

Speaking to Aaron Gell, he said: "I went to the joint for attempted rape. This was in 1980. Whatever I was doing, I have no clue. I was blackout drunk."

Shia has had a complicated relationship with his father throughout his life, which he recalled in his semi-autographical movie Honey Boy back in 2019, although later claimed that his depiction of Jeffrey as abusive in the film was "f****** nonsense".

People added that representatives for the actors involved in Shia's claims, as well as the screen star himself, have yet to respond to requests for comment.
