Jelly Roll was briefly hospitalised during his tour with Post Malone.

The singer, real name Jason DeFord, 41, was sent for treatment after a sinus infection left him struggling to perform, with the performer now praising his fellow musician Post for a gesture during his heath scare he said demonstrated why he is "the nicest human in the world".

Jelly shared the health update in a TikTok video while travelling on tour with Post.

He explained he sought treatment at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, after becoming unwell.

The singer, who has enjoyed a remarkable rise from chart-topping hits such as Need a Favor and Save Me to major crossover success in country music, revealed the illness forced him to miss part of a performance for the first time since joining Post on the road.

The update came amid continued public interest in Jelly Roll's personal life following reports he has filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie Xo, 46, after nearly 10 years of marriage.

Speaking in his TikTok video, Jelly said: "So, I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte, North Carolina."

He added: "Shout out to that whole hospital. They literally got me on my feet for the show."

Describing his symptoms, Jelly Roll said he was "puffy-faced", before explaining that doctors "gave me a bunch of steroids".

The singer said the infection prevented him from making his customary return to the stage later in the evening.

During the tour, Jelly typically rejoins Post to perform their collaboration Losers, but on this occasion he was unable to take part.

According to Jelly, Post quickly learned that he was unwell and reached out to check on him.

"The next night, he sends me a big flower bouquet," Jelly added, revealing a note from Post that read: "Get well soon, Mofo! Love Ya."

The gesture left a lasting impression on the singer.

Jelly said: "I love you Post, when I say on stage every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world. I'm not making that up.

"(He's) the most normal dude in the world. Like I love you, Post."

Post has become one of the most successful crossover artists of recent years, moving between hip-hop, pop and country music while collaborating with some of the industry's biggest names.

His current tour with Jelly Roll has attracted significant attention from fans across North America.

The health update has emerged days before reports surfaced concerning Jelly's marriage to Bunnie Xo.

Court documents obtained by People magazine reportedly showed divorce proceedings were filed by Jelly in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18, citing irreconcilable differences and listing May 9 as the date of separation.

The publication also reported Jelly had removed Bunnie's name from his Instagram biography following the filing.

Public reaction to the reports prompted a response from Jelly Roll's daughter, Bailee Ann, who addressed the attention in a TikTok post on June 16.

She wrote: "I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter."

Bailee added: "It's f*n crazy."

She continued: "Go on somewhere y'all.

"Worry bout your house - not mine. I'm not speaking on it - yet."
