ANAHEIM, Calif. — Carmella Garcia is the newest member of the cast of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” the Bravo network announced Thursday, as the 20th season of the franchise-founding reality TV series gets set for its July 9 debut.

Garcia, 43, is a model who may be familiar to some viewers through her work on camera or her former marriage to retired NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia.

As a model for Playboy magazine under her maiden name, Carmella DeCesare, she was Miss April 2003 and later named the 2004 Playmate of the Year.

That same year, she competed on the pro wrestling reality series “WWE Diva Search,” which was notorious for stunts such as rubbing ice cream and pie on their bodies and exchanging unprintable insults during a Diss the Diva segment that would make an actual pro wrestler blush.

In 2007, she married Garcia, who was quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the time, before divorcing in 2020. They had four children together, who today are between the ages of 14 and 18.

Garcia works as a real estate broker and developer, according to a written statement released by Bravo.

“A self-proclaimed ‘girls’ girl,’ she makes fast friends, but some of the women question her choices and motives,” the statement continued. “Comfortable in the spotlight, Carmella isn’t intimidated easily and proves she is ready to confront just anyone when tension begins to build between her and Vicki.”

Uh-oh. Vicki Gunvalson, who was part of the original cast of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” is infamous for putting new housewives through the wringer before deciding whether or not to bring them into her circle.

According to the Bravo news release, Vicki’s “patience is tested when she is forced to welcome new girl Carmella to the group.”

Throw Vicki and Carmella into the ring with returning housewives Tamra Judge, Shannon Storms Beador, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson and get ready to watch the divas dishing again.
