“Alaskan Bush People” star Matt Brown has died, his family said, confirming their worst fears after he went missing last week.

He was 42.

Brown’s body was found floating in a river in Washington State, and the cause appeared to be suicide, his brother Solomon Isaiah “Bear” Brown confirmed Saturday in the latest of a series of TikTok videos he had posted about his missing sibling.

“They found a body in the river a few hours ago, and it was positively identified as being Matt,” Bear Brown said.

Another brother, Noah Brown, was on hand and helped pull Matt’s body from the river and identify it as Matt, Bear added.

“I would have never suspected he would have hurt himself, honestly,” Bear said. “He struggled for a long time, as I’ve mentioned, and I worried he was going to end up, like, OD’d or something like that. I didn’t think he would hurt himself.”

Matt starred on Discovery Channel’s reality TV show “Alaskan Bush People,” which portrayed a family living off the grid, from 2014 to 2019.
