Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick has suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.

The 39-year-old TV star was seen taking a pregnancy test on the season finale of Jersey Shore: Family Reunion, showing Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola that it was positive, but she's now confirmed she's suffered a devastating loss.

In the latest episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Angelina was seen sharing her fears for her baby with Sammi - revealing she'd been suffering "spotting" - and her friend urged her to go to the hospital for a check-up.

Sammi told her: "I'm going to be honest with you, when I miscarried - like a chemical pregnancy - I was spotting right away, and then it, like, just, it happened.

"So to me, I'm getting a little concerned for you. I don't want to think the worst but for your own peace of mind, go to the ER and just check. They can see what's going on."

However, in a teaser for the next episode of the show appeared to confirm Angelina's worst fears with the TV star telling the cameras: "I woke up in the middle of the night. I'm actively miscarrying."

Angelina didn't reveal the identity of the father while talking about her pregnancy on the show, referring to him only as "John Doe-Nor" but she had previously opened up about her fertilities struggles onscreen.

Speaking in interview to camera after first announcing her pregnancy, Angelina said: "I did not think I was able to get pregnant but wow, I'm … pregnant!

"This could be a great thing. This could be my fairy tale, my path, my baby."

Later in the episode, Angelina was seen calling the baby's father to tell him the news. She could be heard saying: "So I have some news for you.

"I am officially, definitely pregnant - we're having a baby!" Following the episode airing, Angelina wrote on X: "I'm pregnant !!!! #jsfamilyvacation."

Angelina previously caused controversy when she joked that she was sleeping with multiple men in a bid to conceive. In an episode aired earlier this year, she said: "I have needs and they have needs. If it happened that would be great -- I would definitely welcome a pregnancy in my life right now."

However, she later took to her Instagram Stories to issue a statement following the backlash.

She wrote: "Following last night's episode, I want to address a moment that has clearly been misunderstood. "The comments I made were intended in jest and do not reflect my real life.

"There are no 'multiple men' and that narrative is simply not accurate. Anyone who truly knows me understands the kind of person I am and the values I stand by, especially when it comes to my relationships."
