Mya would love to reunite with Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lil' Kim 25 years after Lady Marmalade.

The 46-year-old singer worked with the trio of stars on Lady Marmalade, their chart-topping single, in 2001 and Mya has now revealed that she would love to reunite with them, despite rumors of tension in the past.

Speaking to E! News, Mya shared: "We are actually all cool.

"It's just about scheduling, budgeting, planning out the proper platform to support it in a major way to support it."

Despite this, Mya insists she doesn't want a reunion for nostalgia's sake alone.

The singer explained that any potential reunion would have to "meet or exceed expectations".

She said: "Of course, we can't do anything less than.

"We have to meet or exceed expectations. It's very important so that there are no disappointments. And there are just a lot of logistical aspects to making something like that happen."

Over the years, there have been strong rumors of on-set tensions between some of the music stars. But Mya has insisted that she remembers things very differently.

The singer said: "I just enjoy being part of that ensemble.

"I used to work with so many male hip-hop artists and I was often the only girl on the tour, or in the room. And it was fun, but it was kind of refreshing to be around your peers that are women."

Mya also insisted that she had lots in common with her co-stars.

The Best of Me hitmaker - who has also enjoyed success as an actress - shared: "There was respect and celebration all in one.

"We worked together as a team as well which I absolutely loved because it wasn't just a collaboration with one female artist. It was all of us and we come from different backgrounds and play in different genres and have our own individual careers so I thought that was quite amazing to be a part of but also witness and the demographics that would show up when we would perform together was everything."
