Teyana Taylor always gets Beyonce dancing.
The One Battle After Another star was excited to reunite with her friend at Monday (04.05.26) night's Met Gala - which the Crazy in Love singer co-chaired with Nicole Kidman, Venus WIlliams and Anna Wintour, as well as honorary co-chairs Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez - and admitted that while Beyonce attracts stares everywhere she goes, she isn't afraid to approach the 44-year-old megastar and take her out of her comfort zone.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Met Gala, Teyana told Extra: "I can't wait to get in there and be like, 'Oh, girl, what's going on?' You know what's crazy? Because every single time we run into each other, I make her dance.
"Like, B will like be somewhere chilling real low-key in the corner and I walk up.
"I be like, 'Let's go.' She be like, 'Hey.' You know? So, I love that we get to get that moment together. You know what I'm saying?
"Every single time we see each other, she know everybody else going to sit around and be like fish-bowling her. So, I'm the one that will come up and be like, 'Girl, we dancing. Everybody get out the way. We dancing. Let's go.' I'm gonna start the circle."
Teyana attended the annual event - which had the theme Costume Art and the dress code Fashion Is Art - at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art in a custom silver fringed Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann dress with matching headdress and she loved her outfit.
She told Vogue: "The outfit is always very, very important to me.
"It looks like it's melting as I move. I like to think of it as the 'ghost of a body,' it appears and disappears, appears and disappears as I'm moving."
The 35-year-old singer-and-actress has known Beyonce since she was a teenager and previously recalled how her friend offered her some valuable advice.
Speaking to People, Teyana recalled being told: "Invest in yourself. Don't take it personal. This is a business."
The singer choreographed the video for Beyonce's 2006 single Ring the Alarm - but Teyana admits that she didn't understand the music business during her younger years.
She shared: "I definitely came in the business at a time where I went into everything with my heart, and I didn't understand certain things, and I would go to her and she's just like, 'Don't take it personal.' My mom would tell me the same thing."
Teyana took 44-year-old Beyonce's advice with her for "the long haul because I didn't know that certain things would be isolating where you would feel like, 'Oh s***, in order for it to be done the way I see it in my head, I'm going to have to do this s*** myself".
