Andy Muschietti provides huge update on It supercut

Andy Muschietti is confident the It supercut will happen at some point.
The 52-year-old filmmaker is best known for directing the 2017 horror film - based on the iconic Stephen King novel - and sequel It Chapter Two, and he has previously teased an It supercut.
As a result, it has been the source of speculation for years, and Andy and his sister Barbara Muschietti have confirmed the project hasn't been forgotten.
When asked why the It supercut is yet to have happened, Barbara told Slash Film: "Time."
Andy added: "We didn't have time to do it because we were involved in all kind of projects."
He also told how HBO show It: Welcome to Derry, a TV series which served as a prequel to the two It movies, has been the main focus ahead of the supercut.
Andy said: "The show had a priority over the supercut.
"We're in a moment now where we can definitely go to the studio and ask for support, but when is the question.
"They can say, 'Yeah, go for it,' but now we are sort of committed, like happily committed, to season two of Welcome to Derry."
However, Andy insisted he and Barbara will get around to making an It supercut.
He added: "And there's other movie projects going around. But we're going to do it."
In 2019, Andy first teased an It supercut, admitting he was "in talks" about creating the project.
He told The Playlist: "We're in early talks with the studio to do it, but my big fantasy is to cut the two movies together and add all of the scenes that were lifted for length purposes in the release.
"So make a big experience of It and also shoot a couple of extra scenes that I'd like to see in this bigger experience.
"In the age of binging where people just watch series for like seven to eight hours, and they barely notice that they've been spending all that time, this is nothing."
Andy previously told how he was keen to include Jessica Chastain in an It post-credit scene.
He explained to the Huffington Post: "Something a lot of people probably don't know is Chapter One did have the idea to make a post-credit scene, which was Beverly Marsh picking up the phone...
"So, 27 years later, post credit, you would see a phone ringing.
"It's an iPhone, so it's impossible that it's 1989, and a hand comes in and the camera wraps around this red-haired back of a head, and we turn around, and it's Jessica Chastain!"
While Chastain was unavailable at the time, she did play Beverly Marsh in It Chapter Two.
