Holiday Mathis on

Two days before the new moon, one day before St. Patrick's Day and in the final days of the Mercury retrograde, we exhale the last breaths of winter. It's low-tide energy. There's a sense that something is about to turn but hasn't yet. In the meantime, tie up some small loose ends. Let the conversation settle. Trust.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Perseverance is important, but so is knowing where to put it. Misplaced perseverance wastes time. Know when to pivot and apply the same actions to a more promising trajectory.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You're so good at offering practical support instead of sentimental talk. You show love by being useful. Today, you'll put the time in and do what needs to be done. You'll help someone make a decision that will matter even more years from now.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Everyone is leaning in to listen to you today, so you don't have to do too much to be heard. Your confidence is evident in soft tones. Respect can't be demanded; it has to be commanded. You're doing this.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Why would you expect yourself to understand something the first time you experience it? Real learning takes repetition. You circle back, notice more, connect the dots. Insight forms not in a flash but in layers.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You have zero desire to take part in transactional relationships in which people are constantly calculating who owes what, who earned what and whether something is "worth it." Real connection doesn't feel like constant accounting.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). It may seem a situation is nagging at you -- an irritating tone in repetition, an idea looping. Don't just swat it away. Either address it directly or decide to drop it. Lingering halfway only grates on your energy.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Gather up inspiration. Input before output. You can't produce strong work from an empty well. Before you create, you need raw material. Deliberately expose yourself to things that stretch your imagination.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Every time you steer your thoughts to a serene headspace, you carve the route as your own, get better at it and fall into your groove. Serenity is meant for you. You deserve it. Keep using this skill to move toward peace.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Some people are busy. Some people are productive. Some people are numb. You'll witness the population of sleepwalkers through your world today and be in a rather classic dilemma over it. Do you wake them up or let them pass undisturbed?

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Ever the responsible one, it's OK to question which duties are truly yours. Not every problem requires your management. When you commit selectively, your effort carries more authority and your results speak for themselves.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Pettiness is one of your biggest turnoffs. You almost always care more about the outcome than about being right in the moment. Today proves why long-term wins matter more than short-term emotional victories.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're picking up on cues others miss -- a pause, a glance, a shift in tone that tells you there's an inside story, even when you don't yet know what it is. Trust what you sense without rushing to put it all together.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (March 16). It's your Master of Ceremonies Year. Creating special experiences for people and/or guiding them through them is one of your many fortes activated to excellent effect, heaping money and more on you. More highlights: A thriving relationship will be the jewel at the center of your days. A professional redirection yields prestige. You speak with distilled brilliance, and people listen. Aquarius and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 33, 39, 1 and 16.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Lauren Graham recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, featuring a reunion with "Gilmore Girls" cast members. She will soon be releasing a book about the beloved series with creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. Graham was born when lucky Jupiter was in maternal Cancer, the sign of mothers. Her Pisces intuition braids with a gift for sustaining emotional worlds, which may explain why Stars Hollow still feels alive decades later.
