Ariana Grande left one of her Focker-in-Law co-stars stunned after giving cast members an exclusive listen to unreleased music on set.
Skyler Gisondo, who stars opposite the pop superstar in the upcoming comedy, has admitted he was blown away after hearing songs that fans have yet to hear.
The 30-year-old actor praised the singer-and-actress, 33, as one of the most gifted performers he has ever encountered.
Skyler told The Hollywood Reporter: "Ari is unbelievable.
"I've grown up watching her become one of the most famous and talented performers in the world. She has an operatic vocal range, she's an incredible performer and dancer, and she's effortlessly funny and charming in this movie."
He went on to reveal that Ariana gave her fellow cast members a special treat during filming by sharing new material that has not yet been released.
Recalling the moment, he said: "One day on set, after she played some of her unreleased music, I told her, 'Nobody should be able to do this.'"
While Ariana is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, Skyler suggested her success comes from relentless hard work and high standards.
He said: "She works so hard and cares so much about what she's doing, and she's such a perfectionist.
"She's also wonderful, kind to everybody and collaborative."
Ariana is currently taking a break following the conclusion of her Eternal Sunshine tour in September. The chart-topping star most recently released new music with her eighth studio album, Petal, in July.
Despite her superstar status, Skyler said Ariana never acted like she was above anyone on the Focker-in-Law set and welcomed input from those around her. The actor admitted he often found himself looking to the Grammy winner for guidance while they worked together, only for her to encourage him to trust his own instincts.
He explained: "I would sort of defer to her.
"But she'd say, 'No, no, whatever you want.' I'd be like, 'You're Ariana Grande, whatever you want.'"
Skyler also teased fans about Grande's performance in the movie, insisting audiences will get to see a new side of the singer when the film arrives.
He added: "She's terrific in the movie, and I'm really happy for people to see her in this way."
