SHAB is feeling more "fearless" than ever about her sound.

The Skin + Bones hitmaker is "done asking for permission" to be herself and had "a blast" recording her upcoming new single, Catch Me If You Can, which pays homage to her roots with Middle Eastern influences throughout its club-worthy sound.

She said of the track: "Catch Me If You Can is exactly where my head is at right now. I'm done asking permission to be me. I know what I bring, and I'm not chasing anybody to prove it. The song is cheeky with a little danger in it. It's flirty, but it's really a dare: you want me? Keep up. Underneath all the fun there's real fire, because nothing about this ride has been handed to me.

"I've fought for every step and I'm still going. Making it with Damon Sharpe, Bonnie McKee and JHart was a blast. I've honestly never felt more fearless in the studio. I want people to throw this on, turn it all the way up, and walk into the room like they own it. That's the whole point."

The release follows a period of extraordinary momentum for the artist. "Perfume (VIP Remix)" recently became her fifth career Billboard Top 40 charting single, closely following "BEST OF ALL TIME" and her collaboration with Preston Harris on "It's On You," which surged to No. 15 on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart as her fourth career Billboard Top 40 single. That track followed two other major Billboard Top 40 breakthroughs ober the past 12 months: "Lipstick," which broke into the U.S. pop charts in late 2025, and "Skin Bones (VIP)," which made waves during the opening months of 2026. Such achievements, combined with an undeniable charisma, place her alongside heavyweights like Bruno Mars, RAYE, and PinkPantheress as one of 2026's most talked-about pop forces.

SHAB - who fled Iran for the US during childhood - previously spoke of how she hopes to inspire people to pursue their dreams "against all odds".

Speaking after she performed in New York last year, making her first return to the city since she first arrived in the US, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Returning to New York for my first performance on tour with The Wanted was a gorgeous full circle moment for me. I first landed in America through New York as a teenager with dreams and everything that I owned in a single small suitcase, yearning for a place where I could finally express myself and be free.

"So standing on that stage, performing my music for those who resonate with my journey, was an indescribable feeling.

"And it's not just about the music: it's about resilience, hope and the power of pursuing your dreams against all odds. New York welcomed me with open arms -- and I had the opportunity to reciprocate with my art. This is what living my American Dream truly looks like."

Catch Me If You Can is released on 23 October.
