The Emmy Awards in memoriam rundown remembered show business personalities lost since last year’s ceremony including Rob Reiner, James Van Der Beek, Vincent Pastore, Catherine O’Hara, Anthony Head, Eric Dane and Sam Neill.

But missing from the list of fallen stars were “Walker: Texas Ranger” star Chuck Norris and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actor Nicholas Brendon.

Norris died on March 19. He was 86. Brendon, 54, died a day later in Indiana.

Norris’ family announced his death on March 20. It followed news that the action star earlier the same week experienced a medical emergency while training on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. He was hospitalized after the fact, but friends said he appeared to be in good spirits at the time. A cause of death has still not been revealed.

Brendon, meanwhile, died of atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease. The report from the Putnam County Coroner’s office also lists acute pneumonia and previous myocardial infarction as contributing factors. The “mechanism of death” was 90% blockage right coronary artery.

Despite a tribute to “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” earlier in the show — during which its stars acknowledged it had been a “tough two years” — there was no specific mention of Brendon.

Actress Daveigh Chase, who starred in HBO’s “Big Love,” was also missing from the in memoriam segment. Chase died on June 16 in a Los Angeles hospital at the age of 35, her father, John Schwallier, confirmed at the time. He said she suffered from complications of bacterial meningitis and a blood infection in addition to severe malnutrition. He told NBC she was homeless at the time and that she’d been living on the streets, near the hospital where she died.

Other snubs included “Days of Our Lives” and “Starship Troopers” actor Patrick Muldoon, “The Gong Show” panelist Jaye P. Morgan, and “30 Rock’s” Grizz Chapman.
