Meghan Trainor's TikTok bestie Chris Olsen has denied feuding with the All About that Bass star.

Eagle-eyed fans of the singer had noticed that Chris, who has a whopping 14.1 million followers on the social media site, hadn't made an appearance in one of Meghan's videos for some time.

However, in response to the feud rumours, Chris said his absence was part of a "joke" he and Meghan decided to play on their fans.

During an appearance on the I've Never Said This Before podcast, Chris explained: "We always play a joke on the internet in ways.

"They thought we were childhood friends for the longest time because that was the first video we ever made together."

Chris added that he can't remember if he and Meghan jokingly referred to a "feud" at any point.

He laughed: "You asked me that question and I am like, 'Have we said we have beef?' Did I just dispel a bit we were doing?'

"But I don't think so. No. There is currently no beef."

Chris also reassured fans that his absence from Meghan's social media is because they are currently not living anywhere near each other.

He said: "I am just in New York full time and she is in Los Angeles. I miss her and I miss being [gay uncle] Chris to the kids. I feel very much a part of the Trainor family.

"It feels like that is our relationship at this point, but we talked yesterday. We are family now. But if you want to come up with a good story, then we can run with it."

Meghan and Chris first forged a friendship back in 2022, when he appeared on her podcast.

As they became closer, Chris made regular appearances on Meghan's social media - alongside her and the three kids she has with husband Daryl Sabara.

Chris has also spoken out on multiple occasions to defend Meghan, with his most recent coming after the singer made the decision to cancel her Get in Girl tour, which had been due to kick off in June.

He said in a TikTok at the time: "I guess now it's become public knowledge that Meghan Trainor has canceled her tour. And on one of the posts that was saying that that happened, the comment section was predictably vicious."

"What is the end goal? Because sure, the goal might be to make other people laugh because you're saying something that's mean, but you think it's funny. The goal could be to hurt the person you're commenting toward.

"I've been on the receiving end of a death threat before, so I know sometimes people do just want you to die, which I know also just means they want you to go away.

"And maybe they just want to say it in the harshest way possible. There are always going to be people who annoy you. So really, this energy just continues to get wasted."
