You have questions. I have some answers.

Q: Could you please tell me if “Murder in a Small Town” is coming back for Season 3? l just finished Season 2 and really enjoyed it, and it ended with a cliffhanger.

A: The Fox drama starring Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk will be back for a third run sometime in the 2026-27 season (it is not in Fox’s announced lineup for the fall). According to the network, “Joining the cast in Season Three is Peter Gallagher (‘The O.C.,’ ‘Grace and Frankie’) as Rod Finlayson, a charismatic, uber-independent, capable yet unreliable figure, whose arrival at the Gibsons’ marina on his beloved boat sets up a sequence of upheavals that Alberg (Sutherland) and Cassandra (Kreuk) will have to grapple with.”

Q: Joe Gatto is no longer on “Impractical Jokers.” What happened? I thought he and the other cast members were lifelong friends,

A: On Dec. 31, 2021, Gatto said in an Instagram post that “due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away [from the show]. [Joe’s wife] Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids. … As I work through the challenges I am facing, I hope to and am excited to create new ways to entertain you.” Joe did find other work, he and Bessy later reconciled, and the show has gone on.

Q: Australian super-actor Sam Neill died in July. I had watched him for decades in movies and miniseries such as “Reilly, Ace of Spies” and an excellent version of Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None.” I would like to see “Kane & Abel,” a made-for-CBS movie starring Neill and Peter Strauss. Where can I watch it?

A: Based on Jeffrey Archer’s novel, the three-night drama originally aired in 1985 with a cast that, besides Neill and Strauss, included such familiar TV faces as Veronica Hamel, Ron Silver, David Dukes, Fred Dwynne and Jill Eikenberry. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it on a U.S.-friendly DVD or a streaming service, other than some less than ideal pieces on YouTube.

Q: Will there be new seasons of “Sin City Rehab”?

A: The made-in-Las-Vegas reality series will be back for a second season on HGTV in October. Hosted by Alison Victoria, the new season “will follow Alison, best known for her Emmy-nominated series ‘Windy City Rehab,’ as she navigates make or break renovations and business decisions while building her design business out West,” the network says. “With each roll of the dice, she will contend with big egos, tough competition and wildly aggressive timelines all while taking on new business partners and juggling multiple high-risk flips.”

Q: I heard that Tom Hardy was fired from the show “MobLand.” Is there any truth to this, and if so, where does that leave the show? A lot of it was centered around his character.

A: While some reporting indicated Hardy had left the Paramount+ series, he is back on board along with Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren for the second season, which premieres Sept.18, and for a likely third season as well. While Hardy had clashed with showrunner Jez Butterworth during the making of the second season, Deadline.com said the differences were later worked out as “the show proved too big and too important to mess with the lead characters’ dynamic that had won over fans.”

As for the second season, according to the network, “the Harrigans struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire – and [Hardy’s character] Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable ‘fixer’, must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify. As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy.”
