NEW YORK — Christina P. recorded her first “Your Mom’s House” podcast since she and and co-host Tom Segura decided to end their marriage of nearly 20 years.

She was joined by comedian Duncan Trussell, who got things started by jokingly asking if there was anything new in her life. After a bit of small talk, she cut to the chase.

“Yes, Tom and I are divorcing and it is extremely sad,” the comic, whose last name is Pazsitzky, told listeners.

The 50-year-old host fought back tears while explaining the situation.

“We have tried to work it out for several years for the sake of our children and our family and we gave it all we could,” she said. “But we just couldn’t work things out. We are no longer a couple, but we make the children a priority.”

TMZ reported in July that the pair ended their romantic involvement in recent months but remained focused on raising their grade-school aged boys. They married in 2008 after meeting on the stand-up comedy circuit in the 1990s, according to People. In addition to doing live comedy, they’ve produced podcasts from their YMH Studios since 2010.

Pazsitzky indicated Wednesday that she sees the relationship as a success that spawned a family and gave her and Segura careers.

She alluded to many of the ups and downs of their 18-year union, which has included highs like the births of their sons in 2016 and 2018, and lows like Pazsitzky’s breast cancer diagnosis in 2024.

“Look, we had 20 amazing years together, and that’s a really good run,” she said.

Pazsitzky called the split amicable.

“This is not an ugly divorce,” she insists. “Like, we’re cool, dude.”

The host said it’s taken her a while to address the divorce on air because shows are taped in advance.
