NEW YORK — Cardi B has made some major changes to her body, and she is opening up about why.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to Instagram live to address recent rumors swirling about her physical appearance, specifically that she’s had her butt injections dissolved.

“A lot of y’all keep telling me to go get my a– reduced,” she said. “I don’t need to go get my a– reduced. News flash, I did get my a– reduced.”

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánza, revealed to fans that she was just 21 years old when she began receiving biopolymer injections, which are made from silicone-based fillers that are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration due to risk of leaks and complications. She explained that her final procedure was back in January 2024, but this one was to have the injections “reduced.”

Cardi further told fans that she can’t get liposuction anymore “because my skin is kinda loose, like, that’s why my a– shakes so much.”

“So if I just go and get a lipo reduction — that is the easy way — my a– could drop,” she continued. “So I would have to cut myself. And I’m not cutting myself. I’m not sitting down for four months. I’m outside, like I said. I like my body how it looks right now. I’m comfortable in my skin.”

Cardi said she previously underwent two liposuctions and a butt reduction — and she did it because she believes the look is better suited for her frame.

“I am a small girl. I’m a very small, petite girl,” she said. “My mom is petite. My sister’s petite. My aunts are small.”

The 33-year-old Grammy-winner wrapped her livestream by calling out people for openly discussing and criticizing her body.

“Y’all acting like y’all new to this,” she added. “Y’all been seeing my body for how many years now? Too many.”
