NEW YORK — Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Al Roker were all absent from Tuesday morning’s “Today” show broadcast, which comes less than a week after an intruder burst into NBC Studio 1A looking for Roker and ultimately hurling himself, as well as racist slurs, at Melvin.

Guthrie, 54, who was absent for several weeks amid the early February abduction of her elderly mother Nancy, cut last week short ahead of a pre-planned weekslong absence to film her upcoming Wordle show.

She announced Monday that 47-year-old Melvin was out for preplanned “little family vacation,” which co-anchor Willie Geist repeated Tuesday, as he and Sheinelle Jones filled in for Guthrie and Melvin.

Queens-born Roker, 71, for his part, has shared several posts in recent days from adventures in Chicago, where he hosted the Chicago International Film Festival’s Cinema Soiree and visited Wrigley Field.

Dylan Dreyer on Tuesday took over the meteorology report in place of America’s Favorite Weatherman.

“Today” has been making headlines more than usual in recent months, both because of the seemingly stalled investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance as well as last week’s disturbing intruder.

Andrew Truelove, 41, has been charged with hate crimes burglary and menacing after allegedly sneaking into the Rockefeller Center studio Thursday morning in search of Roker, though he ultimately swung at Melvin, against whom he used the N-word.

Truelove has also been charged with criminal trespass and harassment in the incident, after which a security guard was ultimately fired.

Melvin on Thursday thanked everyone who’d checked in, and said was “doing just fine.” Roker the following day gave “a really heartfelt thank you to all who reached out to check in on my brother, @craigmelvinnbc.”

“We are both okay,” he captioned several images of himself and Melvin, with whom he went on the air minutes after the ordeal. “It’s moments like these that serve to pull us all together.”
