“Real Housewives of Orange County” original cast member Jeana Keough has tongue cancer, two of her grown children revealed Sunday.

Keough, 70, is in her fifth week of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy, wrote 37-year-old daughter Kara Bosworth in an online funding appeal. The former actress, who starred in the first five seasons of “RHOC” starting in 2006, underwent a biopsy a few months ago after realizing that a painful sore on her tongue was not from rubbing on a tooth, and it “confirmed our worst fear: squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue,” Bosworth wrote.

“After surgery to remove the cancer, we were hopeful that the hardest part was behind her,” she continued. “But when doctors recommended a second surgery to remove lymph nodes, they discovered the cancer had spread. What we thought would be a one-time surgery became a full cancer battle.”

The “relentless” treatments’ toll means her mother can’t work, struggles to eat and suffers debilitating fatigue, and the loss of income has saddled her with an “enormous financial burden at the very time she needs to focus all of her energy on healing,” Bosworth wrote on behalf of herself and her two brothers, including Colton Keough, 34.

“Even now, in the middle of one of the most painful and vulnerable seasons of her life, she’s still finding ways to lift everyone else up,” Bosworth and brother Shane Keough, 39, wrote on Instagram, extolling their mother’s kindness and generosity.

Keough’s “RHOC” former co-stars have rallied around her.

“Jeana, you have been there for so many people through your life, now it’s our turn to be there for you! We love you girl,” fellow “RHOC” alum Vickie Gunvalson wrote on Instagram, asking for donations and “healing prayers.” Tamra Judge — who has herself weathered cervical cancer and melanoma— posted a photo with castmates Quinn Fry, Tammy Knickerbocker and Keough, captioned, “We love you, Momma Jeana. Keeping you in our prayers every step of the way.”
