Nick Jonas has revealed the first-ever DM he sent to now-wife Priyanka Chopra.

The 33-year-old singer tied the knot with Priyanka, 43, in 2018, and the pair are parents to four-year-old daughter Malti.

And in a recent episode of the Hey Jonas podcast - which Nick hosts alongside brothers Joe and Kevin - he revealed that it was Kevin who first alerted him to Priyanka, asking if he'd watched her in the TV show Quantico.

At that point, Nick decided to send her a DM on X, or Twitter as it was called then, with Joe and Kevin giving a dramatic reading of the message which read: "Hello. I've heard from a few people that we should meet. I have to agree with these people. Are you in LA anytime soon?"

They then read out Priyanka's reply: "Hey. Graham's told me so much about you. Let's text. More private. My team can access this."

Nick and Priyanka, who made her first appearance on the Hey Jonas podcast for the Tuesday episode (14.07.26), were seen cringing in embarrassment as their message exchange was read out.

Elsewhere in the episode, Nick opened up about the moment he proposed to Priyanka - just two months into their relationship.

The pair were in Greece for Priyanka's birthday, which falls on July 18, with Nick planning an elaborate proposal for midnight the following day.

However, the plan was thrown into chaos by a delayed flight, as Nick recalled: "When we got engaged, I had this plan to do it at midnight after her birthday. Our flight is delayed, which is putting us back three to our hours. Now I'm doing the time in my head and she's like, 'What are you stressed about?'"

Priyanka admitted she had no idea about Nick's proposal plan, thinking they were "just going for a holiday".

Nick continued: "I'm looking at the clock the whole time. And I'm like, this is going to be a disaster."

At around 2.30am, Priyanka said she was ready for bed, at which point Nick told her he had one more present for her.

He grabbed the ring, and then got onto one knee to propose.

But Priyanka's delayed reaction to the proposal left Nick sweating.

He said: "It all worked out the way it did. But she didn't say yes right away. It took her like 40 to 50 seconds. She was staring at me. I was on my knee like, 'Should I put the ring on?'"

Priyanka then laughed that Nick even put the ring on her finger before he'd heard her answer to the proposal.
