FORT WORTH, Texas — Kayce Dutton is already back in the saddle.
Paramount Television Studios announced Monday that filming has begun on “Marshals” Season 2 in Park City, Utah. The CBS series premiered in early March and wrapped up its 13-episode season in late May.
Luke Grimes reprises his role as Kayce in “Marshals,” which sees the youngest Dutton sibling leave the ranch to join the U.S. Marshals to fight crime in Montana.
“Marshals” will premiere its second season this fall.
In addition to the filming announcement, Paramount Television Studios released a couple of behind-the-scenes photos of the cast. Grimes is seen riding a horse, while fellow actors Ash Santos and Tatanka Means pose on set.

[Spoilers for “Marshals” Season 1, Episode 1.]
“Marshals” proved to be a big success for CBS, earning 20.4 million multiplatform viewers for its first eight episodes.
A few “Yellowstone” stalwarts joined Grimes in the new show such as Gil Birmingham and Mo Brings Plenty as Thomas Rainwater and Mo, respectively. Brecken Merrill is also back as Kayce’s son Tate.
One key “Yellowstone” cast member not returning for “Marshals” is Kelsey Asbille, who played Kayce’s wife Monica on the show. It’s revealed in the “Marshals” series premiere that Monica died off-screen from cancer, which may have come from toxic waste dumped by a nearby mine on the Broken Rock Reservation.
Several of the executive producers behind “Yellowstone” are also back on board for “Marshals,” including Taylor Sheridan, David Glasser, Art Linson and John Linson. Spencer Hudnut serves as showrunner and executive producer on the show.
In addition to the previously mentioned cast, “Marshals” also stars Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel and country music singer Riley Green.
