Zendaya has refused to confirm if she is married to Tom Holland.

The 29-year-old actress' stylist and friend Law Roach claimed earlier this year that the Spider-Man co-stars had tied the knot but she has refused to give anything away when quizzed on the matter.

Asked if she and Tom had wed, Zendaya told ELLE magazine: "No, I'm not going to do that. They're always searching for something."

The Euphoria star has worked with her partner on the upcoming films The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day - although they do not share scenes together in the former - and she expressed her delight at getting the opportunity to collaborate with "the person I love".

Zendaya said: "I could have cried, I was so proud.

"And then Spider-Man was a dream; I get to go to work every day with my best friend, the person that I love. We bring our dogs to work; it's like a family affair. We grew up on those movies! It's like coming home."

Zendaya has had an extremely busy year so far - featuring in projects such as The Drama and the third season of TV show Euphoria - and admits that having to juggle various roles caused her to forget her lines for The Odyssey, in which she plays the role of Athena, one one occasion.

The Challengers star recalled: "I remember being on set for Euphoria; it was a night shoot at a ranch. I was so tired, but I was also learning my Chakobsa lines for Dune. And then I started writing out my lines to memorise for that quick turnaround trip I was going to make to Iceland [for The Odyssey].

"It's not like I have a lot of lines in The Odyssey, but I was working with Christopher Nolan! The most embarrassing thing in life would be messing up my lines, which did happen once."

Zendaya portrays the goddess of war in Nolan's forthcoming epic The Odyssey and called for greater empathy in a world where the US finds itself involved in conflict in the Middle East.

She said: "There's a real heaviness, and a real responsibility to that. How much we lean into dehumanising other people--that breaks my heart, that's something I can't get down with. Because I just feel we have a tendency to not see other people as human beings worthy of safety, of joy, of the same things that we're also worthy of."

The July/August issue of ELLE UK is on sale from 18 June.
