Eminem's ex-wife Kim Mathers was reportedly arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence days after appearing in court over a separate impaired driving case.

The latest incident involving the 51-year-old comes as renewed public attention continues to surround Eminem and his family following the rapper's recent transition into grandfatherhood and ongoing celebration of his legacy as one of hip-hop's most influential artists.

According to TMZ, Kim - whose legal name is Kimberly Ann Scott - was booked into Macomb County Jail in Mt Clemens, Michigan, during the early hours of Thursday (14.05.26) morning after allegedly being involved in a collision near Detroit the previous evening.

Detective Sergeant Joseph Feld Scott of the Chesterfield Township Police Department told the outlet officers responded after Kim allegedly struck another vehicle.

Authorities said no injuries were reported and police were still attempting to determine where Kim had been travelling to or from at the time of the incident.

Det Sgt Scott also told TMZ Kim was later released from custody following the arrest.

The reported arrest came only three days after Kim appeared in court in connection with a separate incident from February, during which she pleaded no contest to charges of impaired driving and failure to report an accident. Prosecutors alleged Kim crashed into a parked vehicle while taking her teenage son Parker and several of his friends shopping before allegedly driving home and colliding with her own garage door.

Body-camera footage released in relation to the earlier case reportedly showed officers discovering bottles believed to contain a mixture of alcohol and soft drinks inside the vehicle.

The footage also allegedly showed Kim taking a breathalyser test after the crash.

Kim was later transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Sentencing in the February case is reportedly scheduled for June, although it remains unclear whether the latest arrest could affect the hearing.

Kim's long and turbulent relationship with Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers - became one of the defining personal narratives of the rapper's music career.

The pair first married in 1999 before divorcing in 2001, later remarrying briefly in 2006 before separating again after only a few months.

Their relationship was frequently referenced throughout Eminem's music, including on tracks such as Kim, Mockingbird and '97 Bonnie and Clyde, which became some of the most controversial and discussed songs of his career.

Eminem, 53, has remained in headlines in recent months following the birth of daughter Hailie Jade Mathers' first child, making the rapper a grandfather for the first time.

Hailie, 30, who frequently appeared in Eminem's lyrics and public interviews throughout the peak of his fame in the 2000s, announced her pregnancy last year before later sharing updates online after the baby's arrival.

The rapper continues to attract major streaming audiences more than two decades after the release of albums including The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, with songs such as Lose Yourself, Stan and The Real Slim Shady remaining among the most recognisable tracks in modern hip-hop.

Eminem was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 and has continued making selective public appearances while largely maintaining a private personal life in Michigan.

Along with Hailie, Kim and Eminem have daughters Alaina Marie Scott, 32, and Stevie Laine Mathers, 23.

Kim later welcomed son Parker following her final split from Eminem.
