Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen have separated after 18 years of marriage.
Ending one of Hollywood's longest-running comic partnerships, the pair will apparently remain friends, according to representatives, and closely connected as co-parents to their two children.
A representative for Jason Biggs, 48, and Jenny Mollen, 46, confirmed to PEOPLE on Thursday (14.05.26) the couple had separated but remained on "great terms" and were focused on co-parenting their sons Sid, 11, and Lazlo, seven.
One source close to the pair was quoted telling the outlet the actors were "doing great" and had recently spent Jason's birthday together as a family.
The couple first met while working on the 2008 romantic comedy My Best Friend's Girl, becoming engaged that same year before eloping in a private ceremony in April 2008.
They later held a second wedding celebration in Napa, California, attended by around 40 guests.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the source added: "They are very much connected."
The insider also said: "I have no doubt that they will remain on excellent terms."
The news comes as renewed nostalgia around American Pie continues to trend online ahead of the franchise's 27th anniversary, with Jason's portrayal of awkward teenager Jim Levenstein still regarded as one of the defining comedy performances of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Jason and Jenny had often incorporated their marriage and family life into their public personas, although they largely kept their children out of the spotlight.
Jenny most recently posted a photograph with Jason on Instagram in November 2025, joking in the caption: "A totally approachable couple not trying to seduce you."
Earlier this year, Jenny marked Jason's 47th birthday with a black-and-white photograph of the pair embracing at what she described as his "surprise 30th" birthday party.
She wrote on Instagram: "We were married and yet I still knew practically nothing about you. Like for example, the fact that you hate surprises. Luckily, we made it past that hurdle."
Jenny added: "Happy 47th, I promise I planned nothing."
In April 2025, the couple also celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary publicly by sharing videos of Jason playing with their children and joking around at home.
Jenny wrote at the time: "17 years of this. Happy Anniversary @biggsjason."
Jason remains best known for starring as Jim Levenstein in the four American Pie films released between 1999 and 2012, including the infamous pie scene which became one of the defining moments of millennial studio comedy.
The actor later appeared in series including Orange Is the New Black and recently made his directorial debut with Untitled Home Invasion Romance.
Most recently, Jason appeared as himself in the Prime Video comedy Operation Taco Gary's.
Jenny, meanwhile, built a career across film, television and bestselling memoir writing, appearing in projects including Crazy, Stupid, Love., Girls, Wilfred and Chicago Fire.
The couple most recently appeared together in the comedy Influenced, which is currently in cinemas.
