Jodie Comer is manifesting 'gardening in her underwear'

Jodie Comer is manifesting the day she can garden "in her underwear".
The 33-year-old actress has been inspired by her role as healer Bridget in The Death of Robin Hood, after throwing herself into researching the character, which included taking a six-month herbalism course.
Speaking to Harper's Bazaar UK, she said: "My dream, and I'm manifesting this, is to have a space where I can just be in my underwear, gardening."
She found herself relating to the character of Bridget, and found a passion for "holistic medicine" and "nature".
She explained: "For my preparation, I read books about women and healthcare in that historical period. But I also read Why Women Grow [by Alice Vincent], which inspired me.
"Like Bridget, I felt as if I was naturally moving into a place of looking after myself from within, and it's about how nature provides so much of that for us. How disconnected we've become from that, in the West."
When it came to studying herbalism, Jodie found herself learning a new skill for the first time since she left school.
She admitted: "That was quite surprising to me. I was like, 'Gosh, Jodie, you have to stay curious.'"
And while she's not planning to fully embrace herbalism, she's found ways to bring the skill into her everyday life.
Jodie laughed: "It's more for myself, in my own house. I really enjoy things like making my own teas."
She added: "[I'm] a homebody. I love cooking. I'd much rather cook a meal than go out."
The Killing Eve star is no stranger to throwing herself into a role, and in 2024 it was revealed she spent hours naked in freezing water and mired in studies on pregnancy and labour for her role as a terrified new mum in The End We Start From.
Director Mahalia Belo told the Sunday Mirror: "It was freezing. We spoke to Jodie and she wanted to do it.
"She's a believer in truth and felt this is what the character would do. It was so beautiful and she just went for it.
"We felt like such renegades, Jodie naked going into the water."
