Whitney Leavitt confirms 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' exit

NEW YORK — Whitney Leavitt confirmed she’s leaving “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” after Season 5, which recently resumed production.
The Hulu reality star, 32, confirmed the news Tuesday morning in an Instagram Reel, two days after she’d announced it to the audience at the Ambassador Theatre, while in character as Roxie Hart in “Chicago.”
“I am leaving ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,'” Leavitt, who’s starred on the show since it premiered in 2024 and is now credited as an executive producer.
While Leavitt said the show was “definitely not the path that I had envisioned to get to where I am today,” she “wouldn’t change a thing.”
Leavitt added that she that she and her castmates have “been through so much together. Even more than what you’ve seen. We’ve had really big highs, really big lows,” and she’s “leaving with gratitude.”
The “Dancing with the Stars” alum first let the news slip Sunday night from the Broadway stage, reading from a newspaper headline in the show, “What is that? … ‘Whitney Leavitt announces she’s leaving “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” according to video published by TMZ. The audience burst into cheers.
Leavitt’s move comes on the heels of Hulu pausing production on Season 5 in March, as star Taylor Frankie Paul and ex Dakota Mortensen accused each other of recent domestic violence. Production resumed in late April.
