First lady Melania Trump debuted her “Melania” documentary at the Kennedy Center Thursday for a crowd of MAGA VIPs that included rapper Nicki Minaj, President Donald Trump and a couple other family members.

The movie, which follows the 20 days before Melania became the nation’s first lady for the second time, cost Amazon MGM Studio a whopping $40 million to buy and another $35 million to promote.

It’s remains to be seen whether the moviegoing public will buy tickets for the film’s opening weekend, but those close to the Trump family dressed to the nines for the flick that also represented once-prominent director Brett Ratner‘s return to the public eye.

Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée Bettina Anderson were in attendance as were second lady Usha Vance, Health and Human Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel. Former Fox News personalities Pete Hegseth and Jeanine Pirro — whom Trump recruited for government posts — made appearances too.

While Melania’s father Viktor Knavs arrived sporting a dark suit, the first lady’s 19-year-old son Barron Trump was not in attendance. According to the Guardian, he appears in the film, but doesn’t speak.

The president’s other children, Eric, Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, didn’t attend the screening either. A smaller, private viewing was held at the White House last week for family, CEOs and a small circle of friends.

Variety reports that journalists were given access to the red carpet outside the theater, but were largely kept from the screening itself. That arrangement was welcomed by right-wing OAN host Dan Ball who reportedly called reporters “mongrels” as he made his way into the theater.
