The newly refreshed 2026 Lexus ES 350h Hybrid proves that a family vehicle with a lasting history can be luxurious.

While its fresh hybrid powertrain provides the modern tech upgrades that vehicles in 2026 deserve, it’s the traditional low-key Lexus accouterments that ensure the ES will be here for years to come. The 2026 ES increases interior rear legroom by 3 inches, giving off discontinued LS vibes, while the ultra-premium smart cabin pairs comfort and style nicely.

Lexus gave the 2026 model a complete overhaul, stretching the wheelbase and widening its stance. Up front, the signature spindle grille gets a sleek, integrated evolution that flows into razor-sharp, twin L-shaped LED headlights. On the rear fascia, a full-width LED light bar emphasizes its grounded, modern premium presence.

On the inside there's no road noise; that’s a super win for the brand thanks to standard acoustic laminated glass.

The real triumph here, though, is the updated technology layout. Lexus completely ditched its old, infuriating console trackpads for a massive, highly intuitive 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The rest of the cabin is premium semi-aniline leather, open-pore wood trim, and heated and ventilated seats that are incredibly supportive but not over-bolstered. Passengers in the rear get copious legroom, making this a true five-passenger family hauler.

Powering the 2026 Lexus ES350h is the bullet-proof and unthirsty, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a highly responsive electric motor, producing a combined total 387 horsepower and 372 pound-feet of torque. Although these numbers aren’t winning any drag races, this machine is built for the premium daily commute, not the racetrack. The integration of the electric assist is flawless, and the ride quality is intentionally soft and plush.

Although 19-inch wheels are the only option on the hybrid powertrain, the EV model offers the premium 21-inch wheels which look really great and are worth the upgrade. Both options are available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive.

Lexus continues to do an outstanding job with its fleet and stays ahead of the endless changing technology in today’s automotive market.

While the hybrid market is exactly the addition needed on the ES, we recognize similar excellence with the EV-powered option. As consumers in this market demand a good base price, the ES delivers in the $50K range and will get historically great reliability for years to come.
