Auto review: 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ is the all-electric baby Escalade
Published in Business News
Let’s examine the VISTIQ, a new nameplate in Cadillac's EV fleet packed with 300 miles of fully electric range.
A smaller model of the successful Escalade IQ, our tester, a 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ AWD Sport, showed off its sportiness. Wrapped in Opulent Blue Metallic, a bright and formal version of Royal Blue, this Cadillac was a sight to behold.
Sitting in the mid-sized luxury SUV market between the LYRIQ and IQ, the VISTIQ is more affordable and more maneuverable for more consumers.
With a zero-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, the VISTIQ is powered by a dual-electric all-wheel drive, electric powertrain, which puts out 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. It hosts a 102 kWh Ultium battery pack and has 190 kW DC fast charging capabilities, gaining 79 miles in under 10 minutes. The VISTIQ offers a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds and has adaptive suspension dampers, available air ride suspension and active rear steering for enhanced handling.
Upgrades on our VISTIQ Sport tester included second-row captains chairs and a 19.2 KW charging module with DC adapter. Standard items for the VISTIQ included Super Cruise, 21-inch Diamond Cut wheels, ambient interior lighting, heated seats in the first and second row, and seven USB ports. A panoramic dual pane sunroof, five-zone intelligent climate control system and AKG Studio 23-speaker system were just a few of the items we enjoyed.
While the Escalade IQ is easily the most desirable upscale luxury EV SUV in the market, the VISTIQ features a lot of similar attributes while staying under the six-figure price point. As it achieves the key number of 300-mile range, which is the tipping point for consumers, it also delivers utility and space for consumers.
While I know EVs are not everyone’s cup of tea, they are great for daily commuters. Keeping in mind most consumers have a second vehicle, an EV option in the stable makes sense, and the VISTIQ is a solid option.
