Seahawks QB Drew Lock will start Sunday as Sam Darnold sits
Published in Football
SEATTLE — Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock will start Sunday’s game at Arizona and Sam Darnold will not play, coach Mike Macdonald said to begin his weekly news conference Wednesday.
“Sam is going to be out this game, Drew is going to start for us,” Macdonald said. Darnold suffered an injury to a muscle in his glute last Wednesday against New England.
Macdonald said the Seahawks “don’t anticipate” putting Darnold on injured reserve and do not anticipate signing another quarterback to go along with Lock and Jalen Milroe.
The team has not revealed a specific ETA for Darnold’s return.
Macdonald said the Seahawks will “re-evaluate every day and re-evelaute every week” Darnold’s situation and the quarterback situation.
