Gadgets: A heavenly mini foot massager
Published in Science & Technology News
The Ibreo 4-in-1 Foot 3 mini foot massager is heaven -- so much so that I’m sitting at my desk writing this column as my feet are being massaged.
That's what you get with the spa-grade portable mini foot massager that Ibreo designed to support daily recovery and relaxation after long hours of standing or physical activity. It’s portable enough to move from room to room, weighing just 6.18 pounds and measuring about 16 by 12 by 8 inches with rounded edges, and it comes with an AC power adapter.
Using it is as easy as putting on shoes. Insert your feet into the wide chambers, which accommodate men's size 14 feet. The removable liners inside the chambers are washable.
It works with a 4-in-1 massage system: heating, deep kneading, air compression and vibration. Buttons at the top are easy to access for controlling each of these, along with a timer with settings for 15-, 20- and 30-minute intervals. Everything can also be controlled with the included wireless remote.
Before using the Ibreo Foot 3 massager, I had zero experience with this type of device. Now, good or bad, I’m addicted. I can’t wait for the end of the day to get my feet in. It targets and helps comfort many issues, including tired feet after long days or exercise, plantar fasciitis, muscle tension and sore heels. Having choices of intensity levels helps you target specific issues and areas.
It’s quiet, with the noise kept under 60 dB. The heating has two levels, and the air intensity has three. The air compression will boost circulation, the heating will penetrate deep for comfort, and the Shiatsu balls will target pressure points and deliver unyielding comfort.
Ibreo does point out in the included manual that it's not a medical device and is not meant for medical diagnosis or treatment. Children should have adult supervision when using it, and if you're unsure if it's right for you, consult with your doctor.

Duracell’s new 5000L Tri-Powered Lantern is their most powerful consumer lantern to date, with an increase in brightness from 3,000 to 5,000 lumens over the previous model. The portable light features three color temperature settings and a dimming function.
With its 5.5 by 10.2 by 5.5 inches/2.4 pound size, it’s small enough to fit in most backpacks and has a built-in carrying handle/hanging hook. It is IPX4 weather-rated, allowing it to withstand light rain and splashes.
The 5000 lumen 360-degree light features three color temperatures: warm, neutral and cool, plus a red emergency flasher and a red night vision mode. A USB-out port will supply power for smartphones and other portable electronic devices.
The Tri-power aspect gives you the choice of powering the 5000L with the top-side solar panel, a rechargeable USB-C battery or four D batteries. It has a run time of up to 50 days, and with alkaline D batteries, it can last up to 200 hours in eco mode.

Infinity’s X1 2000 L Camp Light is a portable solution designed for campsites, featuring a built-in extension tube that raises the light to over 6 feet tall. The detachable and rechargeable LED carabiner-clipped lantern is on top and can be removed from the extensions to use on its own, as a table lantern, or in your tent.
The telescoping tripod light has three fold-out legs and includes ground spikes to keep it in place. In the middle of the legs is the light with the extension tube, which folds down to 13.7 inches and extends up to 6.3 feet. It weighs 2.2 pounds.
Its internal 5,000mAh battery is charged (DC 5V 1A or USB) through the charging ports on the removable part of the light, and it is rated to last for up to 50 hours depending on the settings used. The power button and an LED battery indicator are on top.
It shines with 2000 lumens in a choice of three color temperature modes: cool 3000 K, neutral 4500 K, and warm 6000 K. Each is controlled with the included wireless remote, which is a handy feature so you don’t have to go to the light each time it needs an adjustment.
For storage, the remote attaches magnetically to the light. The light is rated to illuminate up to 59 feet. A carrying case is included.
