Auto review: 2026 Hyundai Palisade is better than a cursive signature

Hyundai’s array of models is endless, but in 2026 the redesign of its Palisade made the upscale SUV something of a flagship for the brand, winning plaudits for luxury, technology and a bold styling.

The Palisade comes in a multitude of trims and hybrid options, and our recent test vehicle, a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy AWD, was a crowd stand-out.

Powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged GDI 4-cylinder hybrid engine with AWD, our weeklong tester produced a combined 329 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. The Palisade had plenty of power and had no problem accelerating in traffic or on the highway.

Seven trim options for the Palisade exist in the 2026 fleet, but only four trim level options are available for the hybrid. Ten exterior color options and three interior color options exist on our top-of-the-line Calligraphy trim. Standard features on our Calligraphy trim included first- and second-row relaxation seats, heated and ventilated seats and three-zone climate control. Head-up display ambient lighting and SiriusXM were just a few more to add.

Our Earthy Brass Matte paint was nice for the exterior color, paired with a brown interior for an additional $1,000 total.

Warranties for the Hyundai Palisade include a 10-year/100,000 powertrain and hybrid/electric battery warranty and five-year/unlimited mile 24/7 roadside assistance.

I can’t say enough good about the redesigned 2026 Palisade Hybrid. It really has gorgeous modern exterior looks that make it stand out from the competition. With an outstanding interior and a $60K price tag for a loaded up seven-seater SUV, this is a real gem for 2026. Hyundai will surely sell a slew of these and might even outsell the Kia Telluride for those desiring a little more flare.
