On the last day of Virgo season, we observe the United Nations' International Day of Peace, a day honoring an ideal: That people can tolerate and even appreciate differences. That boundaries deserve respect. That we can settle grievances with civility to mutual benefit. That we all share the responsibility to defend human rights. How does your sign instinctively demonstrate peace?

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Peace, to you, begins with saying the thing everyone has been circling. Someone has to be brave enough to name the problem, and that someone is you. You also take the first step toward repair. Direct conversation beats a cold war every time.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). When people are upset or tired, their needs can become rather basic. You demonstrate peace by providing those basics with the kind of care that makes life more livable. Maybe it's an extra chair, a full plate, a cooler room or just giving people the space they need for their temper to settle.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You help people get along by finding words that help each person understand the other. You might ask a smart question, share a fact, make a joke or look at the problem in a new way. Suddenly, everything gets easier to solve.
